From January 30 to February 19, 2024, Strategic Research Associates Texas conducted a telephone survey of 500 business leaders in the state of Texas. It revealed that the vast majority of Texas business leaders recognize the importance of civic engagement, but most believe businesses could participate more actively than they are now.

The region's success is built on deep international relationships spanning trade, investment, and cultural ties that have consistently benefited the local economy. However, recent shifts in U.S. trade policy and slowing global growth forecasts may pose challenges for Houston's trade-dependent sectors, particularly its dominant energy export industry.
